How to fix "Mergelist Error" in Cydia for iOS 7.x

Today I was browsing Cydia, trying to discover some new tweaks or themes that might really come in handful to me. It wasn't that easy and I coudn't really find a great app. So I decided to add another repo thinking that would help me get some great tweaks but things didn't really turn the way I had planned it would.

On addidng another repo to Cydia, I suddenly met with an unexpected message saying:
Wow, you exceeded the number of package names this APT is capable of.
Problem with MergeList
The package lists or status files could not be parsed or opened.
Cydia went blank, in fact everything inside it went blank. Well that was enough for me to get extremely panic and nervous.
I experimented and did great a lot of funny things. And after hours of effort I put in, I finally found a solution to this messy problem.

1. Go to Cydia and close the Error prompt.
2. Navigate yourself to Manage> Sources> Edit
3. Now you will have to remove any of the built in sources, my advice is to remove Zodttv since nearly all of its content is themes and no tweaks.
4. After removing, you're done!

The main reason for this problem was that Cydia ran out of space in its data structure to host packages. If your number of repository sources exceeds the limit of 65,000 , you are going to get this error. So the only way to fix this would be removing some built in repositories thus making space for Cydia to host your packages.

Any help or questions, please put then down below and u will get back to you as soon as possible.

Jailbreak news for iOS 7

Now that the Evasi0n team had gifted all the apple users a wonderful Christmas present with a jailbreak for iOS 7,  it is now advised for all apple users who haven't yet upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 to do so now. Since the release of the jailbreak, Apple has been trying very hard to patch up the Evasi0n jailbreak which is soon expected in the upcoming update.

So as a alert to all the users currently running on OS 6.x or below and can upgrade to iOS 7, it is highly adviced to the users to immediately update their devices to iOS 7.0.4 as when there is still time left. It is just a matter of a few weeks or maybe days untill Apple releases it's next update that will be patching up the iOS 7 Evasi0n jailbreak and it is most unlikely that Evasi0n will be working on the next minor update which would be just for a patch up.

So now share with us, how is your experience with the iOS 7 jailbreak up till now?

Evasi0n iOS 7 Jailbreak released

Most of the apple fans after the release of iOS 7 have been eagerly waiting for the iOS 7 jailbreak. The irresistibility arises mainly because Apple had also patched up 6.1.3 which was also stuck without any jailbreak, leaving just a small fraction of people below 6.1.3 enjoying all the jailbreak benefits. Along with it the extremely secure system of iOS 7 nearly made the various jailbreaking teams to almost admit that the jailbreak for iOS 7 near impossible until the Evasi0n team recently came out with a gift for all Apple users, a special present just before Christmas, iOS 7.0.x Jailbreak.

The Evasi0n team was successful in cracking out the vulnerabilities and bringing everyone an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7. Even though the jailbreak is out now, it will take time for developers to extend their application support to iOS 7.

iPhone 6 to have eye scanner

Since the release of the iPhone 5s with the amazing ToichID feature, many companies from then have been releasing smartphones with similar technology. But now we have the iPhone 6 video that shows some eye scanner spec.

The basic concept behind iPhone 6 eye scanner would be an advancely built scanner that when brought close to the eye, scans the user eye across the retina.
This would enable every person to be distinct and thus allow only the administrator to unlock their device. It's not just an Impossible job for Apple, but also a challenge to then after their historic introduction of the TouchID technology.

It is most likely that this feature would not only allow the user to merely just unlock the device but also use this features as a complementary aid to sign-in to the iTunes or while buying applications from the Apple App Store.

The expectations are however near impossible even though the introduction of the TouchID was a big hit. The chances of having an eye scanner in the upcoming iPhone 6 is very less, but this there is big possibility such a technology could be introduced in the release of iPhone 7.
